Since 2018, Kyung Ah Meiers has run her Bochum-based Korean restaurant around three simple principles: everything should be colorful, handmade, and plant-based.

From fresh Kimbap, to umami-rich ramen, and her personal favourite, bibimbap, Kyung Ah has brought Korean soul food to customers across Bochum.

She has dubbed her particular brand of cuisine as “Korean soul food, with a twist.” The twist? Traditional Korean recipes are reimagined with vegan ingredients, creating vibrant dishes that are as beautiful as they are satisfying.

Growth through delivery

In 2024, Kyung Ah partnered with Wolt to handle delivery logistics and was immediately impressed with how straightforward the process was. “From day one, everything worked smoothly.”

Before long, her investment started paying for itself. “Since working with Wolt, we’ve definitely been busier than before.” Now, orders through Wolt make up about 50% of her evening revenue, helping to bring her stunning vegan fare to homes around the city.

Before partnering with Wolt, Kim Ah used to handle delivery on her own - a pricey and time-consuming task that kept her focus away from what she does best. Now, with Wolt handling logistics and couriering, her advice is simple: “If you’re tired of spending an hour delivering orders yourself with your own little trolley, join Wolt. You’ll save time and money.”

Increasing visibility & building regular customers

By using Wolt Ads, Kimbap Spot’s presence on the app has grown, leading to more visibility, more orders and more returning customers.

What really impressed Kyung Ah was how fair the Wolt Ads approach is. “You don’t have to buy your way to the very top to be seen.”

“When your visibility increases, things can really take off,” Kyung Ah says.

With this increased visibility, Kimbap Spot has built a base of regular customers who order through the app, sometimes multiple times a week.

Peace of mind and a future with Wolt

With Wolt, Kimbap Spot can keep receiving orders even when the restaurant itself is quiet. Knowing that her business can generate revenue, even in bad weather or on quiet weeknights, gives Kyung Ah valuable peace of mind.

“That definitely takes a lot of pressure off,” she says.

For Kyung Ah, Wolt is more than a delivery platform. It has become a business partner and an important part in Kimbap Spot’s future.

“When I think about the future of our business, I can really see a partner like Wolt being a strong, reliable pillar.”
