Decision from Danish Competition Council of 26 August 2026
Dear Restaurant Partner,
We are writing to provide you with an update regarding a decision issued by the Danish Competition Council concerning certain terms in our restaurant agreements from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2024. The Council has found that Wolt’s use of narrow price parity clauses in the said time period, as well as the use hereof in combination with promotional discounts and a compensation mechanism constituted an infringement of competition rules.

Wolt disagrees with key aspects of the Council’s factual and legal analysis and has therefore decided to appeal the Decision. Nevertheless, the Danish Competition Council has ordered Wolt to inform restaurant partners that have been subject to the conduct that the Council has found to constitute an abuse of a dominant position about the decision. The Council has also ordered Wolt to cease from the conduct identified in the Decision and refrain in the future from engaging in conduct that has the same or similar actual or potential effects. In compliance with the order, Wolt is providing you with this orientation.
We want to reassure you that this process does not affect your day-to-day operations on Wolt. Your partnership with us continues as usual, and there is no action required on your part.
As you may recall, we proactively removed the narrow price parity clause from our agreements in December 2025. This means that no changes are required from Wolt to comply with the decision.
The narrow price parity clause was intended for instance to ensure that consumers could access restaurants’ regular menu prices on Wolt. In Wolt’s view, this strengthened consumer confidence in the platform and supported fair competition among restaurants.
